Furthermore, it met with a fitting tribute from Michel Michenko, the former chairman of CIC Ouest and the first Chairman of the Audencia Foundation, who said on receiving the book: “We have come a remarkably long way and I am both glad and proud to have been present at the beginning”.
2020 was a year of upheaval marked by the emergence of the pandemic, but it gave prominence to solidarity and acceleration in businesses integrating societal and environmental stakes.

Aware of the difficulties encountered by certain students, the graduates rallied round, like the CADO (Club Audencia des Dirigeants de l’Ouest / Audencia club of directors in western France) and the Audencia Circle of Directors. More than € 66,000 were collected in 2020 for the solidarity fund.
“The ambition of the solidarity fund is to limit the impact of COVID-19 on the most fragile students, by providing grants in the very short term to help them meet their essential needs”. Michaël Thoby, EMBA 2013, Chairman and founder of Emotic and a board member of the Audencia Foundation.
“I could not find work, remained at home during the lockdown and have very limited financial resources. The funding from Audencia helped me to feel supported and empowered. It gave me a better chance at overcoming the stress that I had constantly felt during lockdown. I was in such a state of anxiety due to my extremely difficult financial situation and having nobody with the means to support me”. Student, IMM Promo 2021
Today, businesses are increasing initiatives and commitments for the major cross-cutting challenges of our society alongside Audencia.
“Sustainably transforming your economic model” is the theme of the study conducted by Audencia’s “Positive Impact” chair: through analysing 7 businesses committed to this approach and highlighting the main levers as well as the key success factors of sustainable transformation. In tandem, the Crédit Agricole has become a patron and sponsor of this chair for four years.
Via the Foundation, with the support of major companies and professional networks such as IFACI and CNCC, the school has created the very first research centre in the world on “Multi-capital global performance” aimed at transforming tomorrow’s accounting and finance, by devising integrated multi-capital accounting adapted to businesses of all sizes with, in addition, a revolution in performance analysis systems.
