OPERATIONS AND FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Thanks to excellent financial foundations, the fruit of the work of the past years, Audencia has managed to get through the year 2020 by carrying out the majority of its planned investments despite the health crisis.

2020 was a peculiar year. How was it felt in your division?

2020 was a year that was especially unsettled and disrupted by the health crisis. This context led to exceptional mobilisation of Audencia’s teams. Good management practice in previous years made it possible to absorb the shocks of the pandemic and to carry out most of the investments scheduled. As a result, the school’s operating profit was maintained, particularly thanks to a high level of student recruitment and due to the postponement or cancellation of certain events (launch of the CFA, La Baule Triathlon, etc.). The school maintained projects such as its digital transformation, delivery of the Tripod building on the Atlantic Campus and the extension of the City Campus which plays host to the Audencia Bachelor course (i.e., a total of 12 million of investments in 2020). Its cash-flow and self-funding capacity are both assets that the latest audit revealed, ensuring renewal of the school’s three certifications.

AUDENCIA 20-20 – What is your assessment of the previous strategic plan?

The previous strategic plan allowed the school to further enhance its renown at regional, national and international level. Through the strategic plan leading up to 2020, the school provided itself with the means to achieve its ambitions whilst guaranteeing that students could benefit from an increased value and learning proposal. The school is now entering into a bolder era and is consequently more in tune with its ecosystems.

IN CONCLUSION

WHAT WORD WOULD YOU USE TO DEFINE YOUR VISION FOR AUDENCIA’S NEW STRATEGIC PLAN?

OPENNESS !
Through this new plan, the school will be even more open to its local ecosystem (women, men and environment). This openness will also come about through greater presence among its national and international students and the school will continue to conquer new territories.
